Happy thought for the day:)
The YSA: The only group in the church where the point of the group is not to be part of the group. If you're lucky you become an SA at which point there is no hope for you. Someone's got to be the ministering angels.

Oh, I wouldn’t say no hope… bearing in mind we’re eternally spiritual beings having mortal experiences (and not the other way round), then age is only relevant where our limited mortal experience intrudes upon our eternal perspective – which unfortunately tends to be more often than not…
Don’t resign yourself to being a ministering angel prematurely dear, simply because your odometer ticks over to another number
Dear anonymous
thanks for the words of support. However, this post was more of an observation rather than me necessarily addressing my own situation. The title "I'm really desperate" may have given the wrong impression. I would take everything and anything I write on this blog (or any other) with pinch of salt including this reply. Cheers
who am I kidding, yep I think you're probably right.
Hahaha
Well believe me, as a YSA in her late 20s - which according to the unspoken law of dating YSA females, means I'm at least 4 years past my best before date but slowly ripening into a prime SA fruit (or prune - maybe it's a NZ thing?) the beauty and the irony of the program don't escape me =)
Hmmm, methinks perhaps the comments were semi subconsciously as much an encouragement to myself as to you dear =)
That said, I love reading your blog - you make some excellent insights salt or no salt added - you've quite a way with words. I'm very impressed so keep up the good work!
Cheers again, I aim to please. Glad you enjoy the blog
It's the highlight of my day
I particularly enjoyed your observations on personal revelation, Newton's law and decapitation
If you ever hold a discussion on Neitzche's will to power in light of free agency and the Plan of Salvation or the age old discussion of predestination vs foreordination, then count me in and I'll be there with bells on!
wow, that's some heady stuff. I'm certain that I could string together some wildly inaccurate/speculative links between the topics you've raised, which would be fun. Choice vs. foreknowledge, always a classic. I'll get me good old sub-conscious percolating on these and see what I can come up with.
P.S. I’ve always had a soft spot for Nietzsche, who wasn’t exactly the most compassionate of philosophers, but well… actually, I can’t think of any good way to justify myself.
Oh please do! Then you can sign me up for some wildly inaccurate, speculative philosophical fun with a spiritually edifying and doctrinally semi accurate (or at least for the most part well intentioned) bent!
P.S. I too have a Nietzche confession to make... I have a soft spot for him too with really no justification either so I propose we not justify our unjustifiable liking and just enjoy the philosophic company of our German comrade
So Mr Hopkins... what would you say is your ideal woman and have you found her yet?
